Starring: Deva Station, Leslie Glass, Ruby, Jamie Lee, Randi Rage, Toni James.
Sex wise the performances were fairly average. What was much more interesting was, believe it or not, the acting. I'm serious! The two main male leads not only look and behavior like regular guys, but whenever they have to "act" they are very convincing. At times you'll wonder if this is not a B movie or one of those gigs made by the guy who did "clerks. " Why is this important? Because the better-than-most-porn-guys acting makes the gags in this flick actually funny. At some points it will remind you of "porky's. " It will NOT be as funny, but the attempt, at least, was not a flop because of the good acting. Other porn actors who are "supposed" to be funny (Tom Byron and Joey Silvera, for example) never make it. They bad acting only drags down what could have been a funny situation. The guys in this video do make it work.
On its core it's a cheap production. BUT it was balanced well enough to prevent it from being formulaic. Some of the movie takes place indoors, A LOT of it outdoors (most of the actual dialogs are delivered at some beach park).
Still, it is well directed, and each scene has something of its own. At some points, again, it looks like a "college" movie of sorts. Two guys just walking on the street talking
and making pranks. One of the pranks is actually something you don't expect in porn: One of the guys comes out running out of a public women's restroom while you hear a scream. Typical
movie prank.
Now, in regular porn a guy entering a ladies room would most likely be the setup for a sex scene. This doesn't happen here, which is a nice respite from the old formulas.
Also away from regular formulas is the fact that the main male stars get sent to hell most of the times they proposition women on the street for sex, which takes away the predictability
of the porn and makes the film much more interesting to see.
I know. . . who cares about the plot. Yes: under normal circumstances, that is, when you know that the plot in each of the normal five scenes in a pornois nothing but an excuse for sex. But this is not the way this flick works.
Which, in turn, has a major problem: the sex is not that interesting. There is a huge space from the first sex scene to the second, so if you are a hardcore raincoater I suggest
you pick something else.
It's more or less average. There aren't any real surprises and the sex scenes are at a fairly large distance from one another. So if you are looking for pure sex this may not be for you.
The fact that it was better directed, planned, acted, and scripted than most porno "features. " That is: when producers bother to have a script is usually so cliche and formulaic that makes you wonder they even bother. Normal porn plots serve as mere excuses for sex, in other words. The script is peripheral to the sex. Here is the other way wround: the SEX is peripheral to the script.
As a sex video this may be a disadvantage, but as a respite from bad plots this one is good.
Considering it is a porno, it could have focused a little bit more on the sex.
As a sex vide it deserves a 6--since the sex is not that interesting. As an adult feature, however, it's better than most.
