With American Idol a huge success (Anyone want to explain that to me?) it only makes sense for porn to take their shots at it. In this feature we watch as a group of competitors try to become the next big sex idol. Most of the girls are fairly well known, but only a few of them are real stars already. Layla Jade would probably be the favorite to win of course. She is a great looking woman who has been among the best performers in the business for years. If any of the other girls want to take the title from her, they are going to have to really come up with something great. It will be interesting to see how Passion Pictures handles the idol aspect of this line. It isn't a reality show like Platinum tried to do, but a full feature. That could be a lot of fun or it could be a train wreck. Luckily we get to decide for ourselves with Simon, Paula or Randy telling us what they think.

Though we are certainly looking at pretty girls, the action is a little soft. The toy play is pretty good, but I still think that Layla is far and away the best of the lot so far.

The competition has a surprise ending and without giving too much away, Smothers gets a final sex scene with a hot network executive, Venus. She congratulates him and gives him a quick blowjob. This is definitely a couples-friendly boff.

This is a nicely done little feature with a lot of dialog. Most of it is pretty good. I don't think they played into the whole American Idol thing as much as they could have, but it's an interesting script anyway. We're looking at a soft feature with couples-friendly action from start to finish. Layla's sex scene is by far the best, but the finale is also worth a look. I would look at this movie as an alternative to Vivid or Wicked. It isn't going to appeal to raincoaters, but the eye candy factor is high and it is nice to see dialog done by performers who can handle it. Other than Layla's scene there aren't a lot of great stroke scenes, but it is worth a look if you like this kind of flick.
